So you’re thinking about playing guitar but what do you need to get started? The questions and answers below will let you know exactly what you need to do to get started.

Q – What type of guitar do i need to start learning?

A – This is entirely up to you and what style you want to play. If you want to play Rock, Blues, Metal etc. then you should be buying an Electric Guitar. If its Folk, Easy listening, Classical guitar you want to learn the you should look at buying an Acoustic Guitar, although Electric Guitars are far easier to learn on for a beginner as the strings are thinner and closer to the fret board, the body is smaller and generally easier to hold. Bare in mind that when choosing your instrument you should try before you buy. Find a guitar that feels comfortable to play and hold weather it be Electric or Acoustic as this will make the whole learning process easier. If buying an Electric Guitar you will also need an amplifier.

Q – How many Guitar Lessons will i need a week?

A – East Midlands Guitar Tuition provide very thorough guitar lessons packed with the right information and techniques that will get you strumming your favourite songs or shredding your guitar heros solos in no time. EMGT recommends half hour guitar lessons a week for 5-8 year olds and one hour guitar lessons a week for 8+.

Q – When should i practise and how long should i practise for?

A – Learning to play guitar is very rewarding so practise as much or as little as you want but remember the more you practise then the quicker you will progress. EMGT recommends beginners practise for half an hour to an hour per day to gain steady progression.

Q – Do i need lessons to start playing guitar?

A – You can learn guitar without having lessons however EMGT wouldn’t recommend it. Learning on your own without having the right guidance and tuition will develop bad habits and techniques that can hinder your progress. Learning with an experienced tutor like Andy Kulesza will ensure that you learn to play the right way and fast!!!

Q- Where are the guitar lessons held?

A- EMGT has a comfortable private studio based near J25 (M1) which is central to Nottingham, Leicester, Derby, Bramcote, Beeston and Stapleford making it convenient for anyone in these locations to start learning.

Q – Can i take guitar grades?

A – EMGT provide coaching and can enter you for London College Of Music Guitar Grades.

Q – How much are lessons?

A – CALL ANDY ON 07545905290 FOR THIS MONTHS SPECIAL OFFERS
